Our Story
Founded in 2021 by two young leaders, Lucy Nkwinika and Dorothy Kamoto, Young & Empowered emerged as a response to the unique challenges facing children and youth growing up in the cities of Malawi, specifically in Lunzu area in the outskirts of Blantyre city.
We envision a future where children and youth have access to the resources they need for the realization of their dreams, allowing them to be active participants in the development of their communities. Through our partnership with Urban Promise International, we provide holistic programs that nurture spiritual, social, academic, and physical growth.
